Hey, folks! We hope your week is off to a good start. As autumn nears, we’re starting to “dig” into the harvest for more crops, such as more types of potatoes. We’re excited to share a new one with you this week! Here’s a list of what you can look forward to chowing down on in the next few days:
Fingerling potatoes: This is a variety of potato called Princess La Ratte. It’s a French potato that’s known as a culinary superstar of European cuisine, and it has a bit of a nuttiness to its flavor. Excellent for oven roasting!
Herb bundles: This is bundle of mixed herbs, including sage, chives, parsley and summer savory. Finely diced herbs will go wonderfully with the fingerling potatoes.
Gong Bao peppers: This is a Chinese pepper named after the popular dish gong bao (or “kung pao”) chicken, and it’s usually quite mild. Can be used fresh or as a dried chile (often recipes will call for the dried chiles because they’re not easy to find fresh). There are countless yummy-looking gong bao chicken recipes online.
